Meet Dr. Dresner

Rebecca Dresner, D.M.D.

Dr. Rebecca Dresner is a native South Floridian who is finally returning back home after 11 years of training in the northeast. She completed her bachelor's degree at Princeton University. She continued on to the University of Pennsylvania (School of Dental Medicine and Pereleman School of Medicine) where she received a dual degree: a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) and a Masters in Bioethics (MBE). She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) for clinical and academic excellence at UPenn and for graduating at the top of her class. Recently, she completed her three year specialty training at the University of Connecticut in Orthodontics, where she served as Chief resident. In addition, she earned her second masters, in Dental Sciences (MDS), and has completed research projects on the biomechanics of tooth movement (locating the center of resistance of maxillary dentition) and unilateral crossbite condition affecting the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).She has authored a number of publications and has presented her research at the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Dr. Dresner is a recipient of the Graber Award from the Journal of World Federation of Orthodontics (JWFO) and received recognition from the Connecticut State Dental Association. Dr. Dresner is committed to advancing orthodontic knowledge, remaining up to date with the newest techniques and technology, and bettering herself, her patients, and her team always. Dr. Dresner is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
In her spare time, Dr. Dresner enjoys traveling, hiking, soccer, ZUMBA, and spending quality time with friends and family.
